I think that's how a lot of us are feeling. I know I am.
The last few months it's seemed like they keep giving news but have delayed actually doing anything. Last month we kept getting, "They're at Gamescon. They're at PAX." This month we're getting, "We're doing Costume Brawl updates. We'll get around to everything else later."
Just more excuses.

Can't wait for the new Cantha content. Factions was my favorite campaign.
I just hope it's rolled out in a more timely manner this time around. Now, I'm all for spreading out content, but the WiK was insane.

Well, they have to adjust the Costume Brawl, then update the dervish skills, and then fix GvG before they probably ever get to new content.
Expect it somewhere between the release of GW2 and the end of time, and you'll probably be safe. I mean, it's taken them 3 months (?) to update the dervish skills.

that interview reeked of cover up instead of being honest. it's an insult to intelligence really. in the relics of orr podcast that was mentioned in the interview and happened a while back, Stumme did NOT mention a single time anything about costume brawl. so now all of a sudden it is holding back the team?
i don't care if stuff is being delayed, but tell the truth about it. dishonesty is completely uncalled for here. it's one thing to say that you guys are short on manpower etc. but to just straight up lie or to change your development plans because of an arena that is active 5 days out of the year is flat-out asinine.

Well said. And the robot-moa thing feels like a slap in the face to people who actually want good things from the game.
Are we supposed to apologize for wanting 7 heroes or hoping that John might actually DO something that the players want?
Bullshit.

I think the robot-moa army comment thing was spot on and wonderful.
Dervish update on hold thing feels pretty devastating though.

Idk if anyone has mentioned this, but....why aren't the interviewers asking better questions? I mean, they all seem to Larry Kingin' it up, asking cream puff questions that allow vague responses. It would be nice if a set would drop sometime and some real direct questions were asked in an interview.

Um....#1 rule of an interviewer.....don't piss of the person you're interviewing.
KillTenRats, and every other recent interviewer, doesn't want to piss off John, the Live Team, or Anet in general. They want future interviews.
And, by the way, I'm around 99.9% sure that they're required to submit their questions ahead of time for approval from the CM team. They're probably not even allowed to ask tough questions.

I learned a lot from the interview. I know the whole Live team and what they do, teasers on Keiran/Gwen, new hero, some insight to the Dervish update (count that as your "pre-preview"), Canthan content linked to GW2, more hero update info and more costumes on the way.
So basically, it's all coming, the rest is just a few foot-stampers who still don't get that the world doesn't revolve around their demands. It's being worked on, be happy.

You see, I gave up on the Test Krewe as soon as the name was implemented.
Why? Because naming a serious testing group after a fictionally mispronounced group in your game not only shows immaturity, but also slaps the faces of all those that actually want to participate. Shows lack of seriousness towards an important project and makes the true players of the game (the ones that understand the in's and out's of balance) cringe at the thought of joining.
Also, the word "test" implies (and proven true through ex-krewemembers stating their experiences) that those who do get into the program do not have their voices heard on possible skill changes that could very well better the game. I and many others don't even care about royalties or whatever that Anet is apparently afraid of-- if it improves the game thanks to our input and suggestions, then why not implement them?
About the Derv update- I know that a lot of people are wanting this, but I honestly do not care. From a PvP standpoint, Derv's will never have a serious role that a Warrior can't outshine in. DW spreading? Worthless when it becomes RC fodder and the only balanced DPS a derv can do is through skills that have reasonably long recharges. Avatars? Yeah, those aren't unfair already. AoE attacks? Only if the enemy team is stupid enough to play grabass (which only happens 10% of the time).
In fact, the only useful and quick update the Dervish needs, in regards to PvE, is to nerf CS, Strength, and Expertise to not work off other weapons, but lord knows they aren't ready to give the other attributes the appropriate FC treatment.
As for CB, this is actually a good thing, IF DONE CORRECTLY. Other 5v5-non-changeable- characters-PvP games such as HoN and LoL are hugely popular and balanced due to the small amount of flexibility given to the players and are easily balanced for the same reason they are choosing a default skill system for GW2. In fact, if it was made permanent and had skills changing daily/weekly, then it would probably be more popular then GvG, and might even invite some older players back.
The GW:B stuff is interesting, simply because the endgame WiK was a pretty epic experience. Would love for an NPC to give some clue as to what happened to Evennia/Keiran's sperm, even if it's just a line of dialogue.
Oh and about Heroes...... yeah, couldn't care less....

Because for the very simple reason that with 4 ele heros you can have one of each element, and not have to bother with salvaging runes every time you need the elemental you haven't set up.

wouldn't that work better with full hero teams?
i mean, i dont think it would harm if you salvage runes/insigs from heroes, as you only use 1 salvage, and you cant destroy hero armors (luckily)
what i wanna say is that it's not worth an update, as anyone can pay 1k for superior salvage kits
and 4 ele heroes you cant use at same time, it's kinda pointless... IMO
think about it, 3 eles wont be used in same team, as most people use discord/spiritway/anotherway and you need healing, which henchies are not really good at, so 4 eles which wont be used in the same team cant be any better, with a team which allows 3 heroes from each player
anyway, as for the subject of updates people really want, this may result in yet more people leaving the game, either for useless, or not as good updates, and still being bored with the same game, with a big limit of possibilities
what i thought when i saw this was:
- no 7 heroes
- forums will get more asking about derv buffs
- 1 more hero, which may be pointless, as we can only have 3 heroes in same team, i doubt anyone would take 3 assassins or mesmer heroes
- maybe yet another WiK-kind of story, which may again be hard, or worse, and after that... what'll happen next? more people may leave
i see alot of "talking about/thinking about" points again, which always resulted in a "oh man, we gotta do it, or else more people leave this game"
for last part: look at mesmer
my thoughts now: i'm disappointed once again
and the false hope they left behind by talking about 7 hero teams made me more sad than anything else, as that looked like the best part, In My Opinion

Like you even use air and water heroes lol, most likely only earth, fire and ER Prot so 3 is enough.

I know that, I've played Factions tyvm.
Just some out of the box thinking, besides it would be great if in stead of "fight", "guard" and "avoid combat" he would have "stuck" and "not stuck".
Hmm on a second thought when you wanna do a factions mission and he's a npc then he and his dead spirit from the future are together in one party. And when you die together it would definitly create some time paradox... forget about togo
Ontopic: the lack of a timetable concerns me, even though the upcoming stuff sounds awesome, it might take a long time...
And what's the deal with costume brawl ect, aren't we having holloween for 5 years? How hard can it be to just activate the halloween code add 2 masks and costumes?
